As you look over your shoulder, who is following you?
Does your leadership point them to Jesus?
Is your leadership marked by repentance and faith?

by Karen Hodge & Susan Hunt

Jesus modeled a different kind of leadership. His leadership brought life to His followers, and our leadership should too. But how can our leadership be life-giving when it can so easily be life-taking? Susan and Karen challenge us to:

                • Think biblically and lead covenantally

                • Find our confidence in Christ, not ourselves

                • Set our purpose on eternal goals instead of specific tasks

                • Reflect Jesus, not agendas

                • Lead with prayer & wisdom

                • Seek covenantal community

                • Submit to God and the complementarian leadership of the church

Life-giving leadership is grounded in God’s Word, filled with the purpose of glorifying God, relationally driven and decidedly different than anything the world teaches us about leadership. Practical, inspiring and filled with stories of women, like you, who want to know how to lead in a way that reflects Christ.

About the book

“Life-giving Leadership gives a beautiful picture of leadership that reflects the character of God. This book is valuable for anyone whom God has placed in a position of leadership—employer, team leader, small group leader, mentor, mom—any position of leadership. Through Scripture texts and honest reflections on life experience, Susan Hunt and Karen Hodge lovingly guide the reader through various aspects of leadership. A dominant theme is the blessing a leader receives as she turns her eyes to Jesus, serving as an imperfect instrument in the hands of a perfect God.”

~Dr. Stephen Estock, Coordinator for the Committee on Discipleship Ministry (PCA)

“Once again, Susan Hunt and Karen Hodge urge us to think biblically and live covenantally, but this time in the context of leadership. They share their experiences, not as leadership experts, but as co-laborers for the gospel, urging us to pray the gospel takes root in those we lead. Throughout the book we are consistently pointed to Christ, the ultimate life-giving leader, as a constant reminder that our goal is not to make it to the top rung of a leadership ladder, but to serve Christ and His church as life-giving servant leaders.”

~Sarah Ivill, Bible teacher and author

“If you long to grow as a servant leader, bringing life and encouragement to the women in your ministry context, Life-Giving Leadership is a must read.”

Christina Fox, editor of enCourage, author of A Heart Set Free and Closer Than a Sister
